##Mission
We are in need for training material for the projects in Malawi. Camara has some good training material, but it is a bit outdated, and it is targeted to Camara projects (screenshots and alike).

We have therefore decided to update and revise that material (it is GPL'ed), so that it is up to date (Edubuntu 12.04) and as project neutral as possible (no "branding").

####Target Groups
Students with little or no experience with computers in:

- Secondary School

- Adult Education

####Objective:
After having worked with the material, the student should have knowledge of computing, equivalent to the requirements of International Computer Driving Licence, Equal Skills level, with Edubuntu as operating system, and if possible be able to pass the certification for that level.

##Training
When finished, the material will consist of five volumes:

- Computer Basics

- Mastering Pointing Device

- Mastering Keyboard

- Desktop, Writer

- Internet, Web, Mail

From "Computer Basics" the student should progress with either "Mastering Pointing Device" followed by "Mastering Keyboard" through "Desktop, Writer" finishing with "Internet, Web, Mail", or - if the student can handle mouse and keyboard - then go directly to "Desktop, Writer"

####Computer Basics

The contents of this book reflects the worst & most suppressing sort of didactics - it's what Freire calls "banking pedagogy': the student is considered an empty account that the teacher (in this case the training material) will fill. And even with no activty whatsoever from the student's side. But what else is there to do? I do not know. So for now this has to be it.

Work in progress - ca 90% finished as of now. Have a look at how far we have come with Edubuntu Equal Skills I: Computer Basics: http://skillbuilders.fairdenmark.dk/SB_Basics.html
